A Web3 trading platform built for clarity, trust, and control.
The platform combines traditional financial instruments with on-chain ownership, giving users greater transparency and control. To meet KYC and AML requirements, DCLEX introduced a unique identity layer where verified users receive a non-transferable NFT representing their digital identity. This NFT becomes the key credential required to interact with on-chain stocks, making identity, compliance, and usability tightly connected to the product experience. Designing for a product operating at the intersection of DeFi, regulation, and real financial value required a strong focus on clarity, trust, and precision.
DCLEX reimagines stock trading on-chain, combining USDC settlement, self-custody, and compliance into a single decentralized experience. My role was to translate that complexity into an interface that feels credible, intuitive, and built for serious users.
Designing DCLEX came with the challenge of simplifying a highly complex concept that blends traditional finance, blockchain infrastructure, and regulatory constraints. The product needed to communicate trust while still feeling decentralized, which is a difficult balance in Web3.
I focused on structuring flows around identity, onboarding, and trading to make the experience feel logical rather than technical. The UI was designed to feel calm, premium, and trustworthy rather than overly “crypto-styled.” Visual hierarchy, content clarity, and interaction feedback were treated as trust-building tools, not just aesthetic choices. The goal was to make users feel confident using a complex financial product without needing to understand the underlying infrastructure.
Designing DCLEX meant turning a highly regulated, technically complex DeFi product into a clear, credible, and usable trading experience.
DCLEX sits at the intersection of decentralized infrastructure and real-world finance, which made clarity and trust the core design priorities. I focused on simplifying complex flows like identity verification, NFT-based credentials, and on-chain asset interaction into experiences that feel intuitive rather than technical. Every design decision was made to reinforce confidence, reduce friction, and help users navigate a high-stakes financial product without hesitation. The result is an interface that feels structured, serious, and aligned with the product’s underlying complexity.
